April is the Associate Program Manager providing oversight and support for HCCA’s tobacco and substance use prevention programs, including special projects, the Maine Prevention Network (MPN), and the Drug-Free Communities (DFC) grant. In addition, April facilitates the statewide LGBTQ+ SupportME Network.

Katie (she/her) is the Finance Manager providing financial guidance and oversight on all government and philanthropic funding streams that support HCCA’s mission.

Jane (she/her) is the Financial Administrator managing and recording financial transactions for the organization, preparing budgets, and reports to multiple funders that support HCCA.

Patricia Buck-Welton

Patricia Buck-Welton is the Drug-Free Communities (DFC) Coordinator, implementing projects and initiatives associated with the DFC grant, including supporting and overseeing the Gardiner Area Thrives (GAT) Coalition. Additionally, Patricia implements substance use prevention objectives under the Maine Prevention Network (MPN) grant.

Adlin Deering

Special Projects Coordinator

Adlin (she/her) is the Special Projects Coordinator. She primarily works on projects that provide resources and education for those in under-resourced communities, including LGBTQ+ youth. Much of her work revolves around tobacco use within these communities, but also expands to education about pronoun usage, community mattering, and providing safe spaces. She is a co-lead of the Kennebec County Youth Advisory Board which creates a place for students throughout Kennebec County to advocate for policy change surrounding issues that impact them the most.

Alida Farrell

Food Systems Coordinator

Alida (she/her) serves as the Food Systems Coordinator at HCCA, where she manages two state-wide food systems networks: the Maine Farm and Sea to School Network and the Maine Farm to Institution Network.

Susan Johnson

Substance Use Prevention Coordinator

Susan (she/her) is the Substance Use Prevention Coordinator. She works with community partners to provide education and resources surrounding substance use awareness and prevention at schools and other youth-serving organizations. She is a co-lead of the Kennebec County Youth Advisory Board which creates a place for students throughout Kennebec County to advocate for policy change surrounding issues that impact them the most.

Rachael (she/her) is the Maine SNAP-Ed Program Coordinator. She delivers a series of SNAP-Ed programming, primarily to SNAP-eligible community members ages three and up, visiting them in child care, elementary schools, summer youth programs, community centers, vocational rehabilitation centers, and many more locations. She also participates in two separate Policy, Systems, and Environmental (PSE) change initiatives in the communities she works with including a Community Garden Project in Augusta and a StoryWalk Project.

Mallory Siddiqui

Tobacco Prevention Coordinator

Mallory (she/her) is the Tobacco Prevention Coordinator. She works with stakeholders to educate youth and other community members to prevent tobacco and e-cigarette use, reduce exposure to second- and third-hand smoke, and provide resources to help current smokers quit.

Sarah Young

Healthy Eating, Active Living Coordinator

Sarah (she/her) is the Healthy Eating, Active Living (HEAL) Program Coordinator providing community education for healthy eating and nutrition, physical activity, and breastfeeding education. Additionally, Sarah implements initiatives and projects within the Maine Prevention Network (MPN) tobacco grant. Funding for the HEAL program is sourced from the Maine Prevention Network (MPN) Grant.
