The Healthy Hunger Free Kids Act of 2010 (HHFKA) outlines new requirements for Local Wellness Policies in schools. As written in the Child Nutrition and WIC Reauthorization Act of 2004, all schools that participate in the National School Lunch and/or Breakfast Program must have a Local Wellness Policy in place.
